Redding Type S Full Length Bushing Sizing Die 308 Winchester Small Base 77355

The Redding 308 Win Type S Full Length Bushing Small Base Die provides the advanced precision shooter with the means to set perfect shoulder bump while maintaining complete control of the case neck size.  The die uses interchangeable bushings available in 0.001″ increments to precisely match case neck thickness to set neck tension.

In one operation, correct shoulder bump and case neck tension are set, which can be very efficient as well as being kind to brass.

Concentricity is enhanced by the ability of the bushing to float and self centre on the case neck.  All Type S Dies are supplied with a standard sizing button as well as decapping pin retainer to allow the use of the die without the button.

The sizing button can be removed if you are using cases that have been neck turned or pre-sorted for neck uniformity (Redding Case Neck Gauge 26400) but should be left in when using commercial cases in a no-turn process.

The Redding Type S Full Length Bushing Die is available in many calibres.  This one is for the 308 Winchester Cartridge.   Interchangeable bushings are available Redding Die Bushings.

The Redding 308 Win Type S Full Length Bushing Small Base Die will resize brass to smaller dimensions than SAAMI minimum specification.  Some tight chambers require this.  If you want a ‘regular’ SAAMI spec Type S Die, please look at Redding Type S Full Length Bushing Sizing Die 308 Winchester 77155.   This die is also helpful if you are trying to resize brass that was originally fired in chamber larger than the one you are currently loading for.  Brass bounces back slightly after the sizing process and sometimes it needs to be sized down a little more to chamber properly in another rifle.
