The RCBS Primer Pocket Swaging Die is designed to efficiently remove the crimp from military brass. Swaging primer pockets is preferred over reaming because it does not remove any metal from this critical case area and does not affect the case weight. This tool comes complete with large and small rifle primer swaging dies and rods.
The tool works with any sturdy single stage reloading press and regular shell holders. Due to the force required, it is recommended that the tool not be used with a progressive press.
The RCBS Primer Pocket Swager – 2 is much stronger than the original design and can accommodate a wide range of calibres. A factory setup and demonstration video can be seen here.
