The L E Wilson Expanding Mandrel Sizing Die was designed to prepare new brass cartridge cases before their first firing. During shipping, case necks can be forced out of round. This tool can be used to return the case neck back to proper shape. The Mandrel Sizing Die has other uses, such as setting neck tension after sizing in another die without an expander button.
It is recommended that this die be thoroughly cleaned before its first use to remove the factory preservative. Under normal use, case necks should be lightly lubricated.
The L E Wilson Expanding Mandrel Die is very well ground and polished, making it feel good in the hand. Shipped complete with Hex Wrench and spare locking screw.
Available in different calibres as needed.
