This Wilson case trimmer kit includes a mounting base, stainless steel case trimmer, the micrometer adjustment mechanism and is bundled with a 308 Winchester Case Holder. This is the ultimate low volume, precision, 308 Winchester case trimmer. It is a great choice for TR and MR and any other shooting discipline where volumes don’t require a power case trimmer.
Wilson case trimmers are capable of trimming calibres between .17 and .45. The Wilson case trimmer requires an individual ‘case holder’ for each cartridge type that will be trimmed. These are available for a multitude of modern cartridges and are quite reasonably priced. This configuration of the SSKIT unit is shipped complete with the case holder for the 308 Winchester.
The micrometer adjustment feature of the Wilson Case Trimmer provides a mechanism that will easily allow the user to set the finished case length in 0.001″ increments. There is also a separate locking screw that allows for rapid course adjustment when switching cartridge types.
This design results in a high degree of uniformity amongst trimmed cases. The case is perfectly supported during the cutting operation and kept in line with the cutter axis resulting in a squared case mouth. Please note that this case trimmer bundle is compatible with any 308 Winchester derivative cartridge such as the 243 Winchester or 260 Remington as the case holder is the same.
