Forster Neck Tension Gauge

This is a new innovative tool from Forster.  The tool, although simple in design, depends on precision to function.  Simply put, the Forster Neck Tension Gauge is a mandrel with 4 precision ground 0.001″ steps.  It enables the user to quickly determine the actual inside case diameter after sizing.  The actual results determine the final neck tension of the loaded round after bullet seating.  No matter how carefully cases are sized, there is always the possibility of variation in neck tension depending on the condition of the brass and spring back.

The Forster Neck Tension Gauge provides an accurate way to determine these critical dimensions.  Simply insert the gauge into the case mouth after sizing and see which step provides a firm slip fit.  The user can quickly sort cases by actual neck tension into batches, taking appropriate corrective action on each batch if necessary.
